Professional Pavement Marking Services Across Ontario

Pavement markings are the primary communication tool between road designers and the people who use roads and parking areas every day. Clear, properly placed markings tell drivers where to travel, where to stop, and where pedestrians have priority — reducing conflicts and improving safety. Easy Line Marking provides professional pavement marking services for private roads, commercial driveways, residential developments, and institutional properties across the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding Ontario communities.

Types of Pavement Markings We Apply

  • Centre lines and lane lines — Solid and broken line markings to define travel lanes on private roads, parking lot drive aisles, and internal roadways
  • Stop bars — White or yellow solid bars placed at intersections and pedestrian crossings to define where vehicles must stop
  • Crosswalk markings — Ladder-style or parallel-line pedestrian crossings for parking lots, internal roadways, and private property applications
  • Yield markings — Triangle yield indicators and "YIELD" text for internal intersections and merge points
  • Directional arrows — Straight, turn, and combination arrows for traffic guidance
  • Speed limit legends — Painted speed numerals on road surfaces to supplement posted signage
  • Bike lane markings — Lane lines, bicycle symbols, and directional arrows for shared-use paths and designated bike facilities
  • Road text stenciling — "STOP," "SLOW," "ONLY," "DO NOT ENTER," and other road surface text markings
  • Parking control markings — Fire route, accessible parking, reserved zone, and no-parking markings on road edges and curbs

Private vs. Municipal Applications

Easy Line Marking works primarily on private property pavement marking: commercial properties, industrial parks, residential developments, condominiums, schools, hospitals, and private road networks. For municipal road applications such as public streets and municipal parking lots, we are available as a contractor or subcontractor — contact us to discuss public-sector project requirements.

Marking Materials

  • Waterborne traffic paint — Fast dry, low VOC, ideal for most commercial and light-traffic applications
  • Solvent-based traffic paint — Higher durability for high-traffic, high-wear locations such as busy drive aisles and frequently used intersections
  • MMA cold plastic — Maximum durability for high-priority markings such as crosswalks, stop bars, and symbols at busy locations where long service life is the priority

Standards and Compliance

Pavement marking design follows the Ontario Traffic Manual (OTM) for public roads and Transportation Association of Canada (TAC) guidelines for private road applications. Crosswalk widths, stop bar placement, symbol proportions, and colour conventions follow these standards so your markings are immediately understood by drivers familiar with Ontario roads.

Who We Serve

We provide pavement marking services to commercial property managers, condominium corporations, residential developers, industrial facility operators, school boards, and municipal agencies across the GTA including Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Markham, Vaughan, Oakville, Richmond Hill, Burlington, Oshawa, and surrounding communities.

How professional line marking is done

A durable result depends far more on preparation and conditions than on the paint itself. The typical professional sequence:

  1. Clean the surface

Sweep and, where needed, power-wash to remove dust, dirt and oil. Loose debris or grease is the most common reason fresh lines fail early.

  2. Repair & let it cure

Fill cracks and potholes so lines sit on a sound, even surface; fresh repairs are given time to cure before marking.

  3. Confirm a dry surface & suitable weather

Marking is done on a dry surface, on a dry, low-wind day with surface temperatures roughly 10–32 °C (50–90 °F) so paint bonds and cures properly.

  4. Lay out the design

Stalls, aisles, arrows, accessible spaces and symbols are set out (chalk / string lines) before any paint is applied.

  5. Apply & cure

Lines are sprayed to a consistent width and film thickness. Water-based traffic paint is typically dry to the touch in about 30–60 minutes, depending on temperature and humidity.

Planning your project

Scheduling & disruption

  • Larger lots are marked in phases so part of the property stays open at all times.
  • Standard painting season in Ontario runs roughly May–October (dry surface, about 10 °C and up).
  • Water-based paint is typically ready for traffic in about 30–60 minutes in warm, dry weather.

Maintenance & repainting

  • Most commercial lots are refreshed every 1–3 years; plows, salt and UV set the pace.
  • Higher-wear zones (entrances, turn lanes) can be touched up between full repaints.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of pavement markings do you apply?
We apply lane lines, centre lines, crosswalks, stop bars, turn arrows, yield markings, curb painting, and directional text on commercial and municipally maintained pavement surfaces.
Can you match existing pavement marking colours?
Yes. We can match standard traffic marking colours including white, yellow, blue (accessible parking), and red (fire routes), using the appropriate paint specification for the surface type.
Do you resurface or prepare the pavement before painting?
We do not perform resurfacing, but we inspect the surface condition prior to quoting and will advise if surface preparation (cleaning, crack sealing) is needed for good adhesion and a clean finished result.
Do you prepare the pavement surface before painting?
We inspect surface condition prior to quoting and will advise if cleaning or preparation work is needed for good adhesion and a clean finished result. We do not perform resurfacing or crack sealing ourselves.
